What??????………………. She was expecting “them” to wait on her? Her time was more important than their time? They’re the ones, the potential advertisers, who are going to give Yahoo money for advertising. It’s like saying,”These people are going to give me money, so I’m going to make them wait on me.” It just doesn’t make any sense.
Personally, I don’t wait on people. Especially when my time and money is involved.

Actually, the transaction is equally beneficial. A lot of people assume that just because they bring money into the equation, that they’re more important than the party that brings the goods/services. Yahoo’s service isn’t any less important to the advertisers than their money is to Yahoo.

Skull, it’s the principle of the matter. The woman should have notified the others attending the meeting that she was going to be late. That would have been the professional course of action. You don’t let people hanging. It’s not professional.
Equally beneficial? Tell that to the shareholders of Yahoo. Those potential advertisers just took their money somewhere else.

No wonder Yahoo’s doing so poorly. With idiots like that running the site it’ll be belly up before she can afford a new pair I’d shoes.

I vaguely recall reading somewhere that Yahoo execs work from home and just skype all day. I once had a domain locked with no way to call or contact yahoo to verify my identity and after a couple weeks of trying to remember my password from 2 years prior, I finally guessed right, or my domain would have expired. Yahoo is run by bots on autopilot and its no surprise to me that the yahoo CEO sleeps through meetings!
