MEMO TO SELF: Don’t ever do business in Seattle

Seattle activists celebrated a successful campaign to gradually increase the city’s minimum wage to $15 by calling for a national movement to close the income and opportunity gaps between rich and poor.

The Seattle City Council unanimously passed an ordinance Monday that would give the city the highest minimum wage in the nation.

I moved away from North Seattle, and moved into a nice, quiet suburb 15 miles, and across the water, to the North Kitsap Penninsula — partly because I was SUPER sick and tired of Seattle hippie/granolas/socialist/hippsters etc with their FUCKING self-righteous, “I’m so liberal” attitude. When, in reality, they are some of the most uptight, rigid fucks you’ll ever meet, unless you’re just like them. And I’m sorry, but I refuse to be a sandal with socks wearing, soccer loving, granola eating, sad soggy hipster. Goddamnit! I prefer football, rap music, BBQ and blowjobs from hot chicks and then after I’m done with them, I kick em out of their own house, eat all their food before they have a chance to say “I mean I mean I mean, don’t you want a relationship?” And the chicks in Seattle are fat. I’d much rather hang out with Rodney from Dallas any day of the week, than i would with your typical Seattle liberal. There are also great people in Seattle but those people are not usually involved with the socialist politics. I haven’t been to the city of Seattle in years and don’t plan to go unless, of course, Tom Leykis has a listener party there, then I’ll go.

A burger flipper should not make $15/hr. Period.

Couldn’t agree more with this assessment.

I live in the only true liberal area of OKC (just north of downtown) and I see this behavior all the time. I’m not a conservative myself but—–forced to make a choice—-I will gladly hang out with conservatives over liberals any day of the week.

Ha! $15/hr to flip burgers. It won’t take long before inflation catches up to them. Economic illiteracy at it’s finest. Rents will go up Seattle.
