TILL DEATH US DO FART: Get married for life, boys, and this is what you can look forward to

Once again, we really think you should not look at this. And, if you do, you have only yourself to blame.

I wish I would have found your website sooner; all I can say is that Leykis 101 is 110% correct.
I am an unhappily married man who is 50 years old. I had it all at the age of 47; a house that I had just paid off the mortgage, a new Mercedes-Benz SUV that I had paid for with cash and a four year old Honda Accord, two dogs (Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix) and money in the bank.

I stupidly married a woman, after we got back from our honeymoon, she was diagnosed with Uterine (Endometrial) Cancer. After the operation I found out that she did not have insurance and since I married her I am on the hook for over $200,000 in medical debt even if I divorced her because she had the operation when we were married. I talked to two lawyers and they both told me, “You are on the hook for the debt.” I also found out that she has not paid her student loans back and has a $27,000 credit card debt. I AM SO FUCKED. Since the day of our marriage, my life has become a nightmare. She went from being 130 lbs. to over 250 lbs. She argues all the time and life is a living hell, sex is a no go, and I fear I will lose everything thanks to her. When we argue she frequently says, “I am going to call the police on you for abuse and threatening me.”

I tell every man I know, “NEVER EVER GET MARRIED, There is NO reason for a man to EVER get married or even have a woman live with them and once you get married there will be NO SEX unless you cheat on her.” I truly wish I could go back four years in time and never have met her!!!

Erik, wow, I can’t believe you made such a stupid mistake at such an old age. You should have had Tom in your life, even when he was off the air (You Tube, etc.) Every man (and woman) should hear your story and others who have had problems like you have had (and are still having right now). I know you will lose a lot, but why haven’t you divorced her? It’s a little late for worrying about what others’ think about you for leaving a woman who has cancer. But if you stay, the bills will get higher (without you, she may be able to qualify for her own health insurance) and you will continue to be miserable.

      Erik,

It may be hard to see past the 200k in medical bills, and the oozing uterine rot, but before you totally give up I hope you’ll remember what got you to commit, and utter the words ’till death do us part’.

Take a moment to reflect, and listen to this song about love, because after all; Love is a many spendored thing.. and your story reads better with this song playing in the background:

Erik I agree. Never get married. I waited till I was in my thirties to get married, thinking I’d found the right one. She was beautiful, had good employment, and seemed to have a good head on her. Then marriage, bam! She quits her job, runs up tens of thousands in medical bills, thousands in credit card debt, and took money out of our account and gave it to her family. I’m ruined financially, sex life was over after saying I do, lost my self respect, and have had legal trouble cause of her. I went from a perfect, peaceful, successful single life, to total ruination. I’d been better to go with escorts. That’s why prostitution is illegal. Cause if it were legal, no man would ever get married.

Every time I read something like this I become instantly grateful that I am still unmarried.

Erik, you poor sucker, its never to late to find peace and Your time on this earth is too short to waste it being miserable. DTB.
Second, was watching cowboys vs eagles last night, and every other commercial break had an ad for viagra. And, the ad blamed the ED on men getting older, never mind the fact that most wives look like the broads on these pics, never mind that the sex becomes a lustless obligation/duty, and never mind that women out-live their reproductive and sexual fitness and become crazier by the year.
Marriage made sense when human beings wedded and had kids in teens, children were source of labor, and people rarely moved or lived past their 40s and 50s, because it was an economic necessity. Marriage outlives its usefulness today thanks to the frightened romantics.

Get married and you’ll have no sex, no wealth and no future!
