Why do we care? Is this really a Beta vs VHS competition where there can be only one dominating the market? They’re all good, I use the one I like regardless of what others think. I’m not a 14 year old girl who needs to be part of the popular crowd, and don’t care who has the new candy crush app.
Really interesting but it is from Q1 2013 which is ancient history in the tech world, would like to know if the trends have changed at all. What is also interesting is how skewed the numbers are in favor of Apple in the US compared to the rest of the world, and the money Apple is making on smartphones compared to Samsung. My guess would be because Apple sells their phones to “affluent” Americans while the rest of the world cannot afford and/or justify wasting money on a product that is really no better than Android.
