Hi tom–listening to your old shows on YouTube. They are still helpful. Sorry I find you late in life.
I’m 63, and never married, and no kids. I made the decision early on, and I’ve never regretted it.
Marriage is a mess for most people today. As a librarian I helped over 200 people get the forms for their divorce. 99% of the time it was a woman filing for divorce not a man. Custody battles were even worse. It is nice to have peace and quiet in my home. I grew up with a large family, 6 kids,
and two very unhappy parents. All my three brothers married and had kids. One of them told me-being married and having kids is highly overrated. He had four–two still live at home in their 20s.
You never know what lies ahead for you as a parent or in a marriage. For most guys it’s best to avoid it–if it fails it could be a huge personal disaster. I quit dating at 46–too many losers and misfits out there–I couldn’t attract younger women, so I stopped. Best bet for Am. men are foreign women–they look better, more loyal, caring, and not feminized yet. I will look for female partners elsewhere–not here. Sad to say Am. women overall are a sad lot. Thanks!
