   There are thousands of different Android devices from numerous manufacturers saturating the market. Apple’s iOS has a dozen or so devices from ONE manufacturer. Tom, your numbers are crap. Do the math. Besides, who really gives a shit. Buy what you like. I use windows based PC’s, but I would never stop buying the latest iPhone. Microsoft and Android whore out their OS’s to anyone, Apple, like you Tom, wants to maintain and control their brand. FOCUS, that is what Apple does when it comes to there brand and iOS for mobile devices. You know about FOCUS, right? Keep up the intriguing talk my friend. Long time, 0 time looking for the courage.

   It’s official, i disagree with Tom on something. The Betamax argument is ridiculous, that was a FORMAT war, like the highlander there can be only one. btw, ios represent essentially 1 product, android represent hundreds, put iPhone up against any one smartphone. Record sales & I heard recently that Apple is the most successful company that has ever existed. Apple will change the game again any the rest of the market will spent the next 24 months trying to copy & catch up.

   Android smart phones are way better cause of the following:

   1. HD Screen and user customization on the Android is way better. Apple IOS very limited.
   2. Google Play Store, no restrictions on apps or “approval from apple” = Prawn
   3. Storage Capacity. My android came with 8gb on board. My phone has an SD Card slot and bummed it up to 32gb the max capacity. iPhone I have to pony up a few hundred for 32gb of space. Android phone storage upgrade less than 20 bucks.
   4. Android Tablet Asus TF300 with 32gb on board for 450. Added another 32gb, case, screen shield and touch pens for less than 480 with taxes. iPad for 64gb wifi only model almost 800 dollars. Not including applecare insurance, screen protector, case, and stylus pen. That would bring you up to over 1000.
   5. My android tablet I can hook up to my flat screen tv with a hdmi micro cable for less than 8 bucks. iPad to flat screen tv 30-40 dollar adapter from the apple store.
   6. File Type is pretty much open on the android device. I can play any file type on my tablet or phone as long I have the right player for free. I can play xvid avi, mp4, mp3, ogg, etc… IOS only MP4 for video and Mp3 audio. Most internet content Apple wants to be purchased through itunes. Android from anywhere. I do not need iTunes for anything.

   I am with you Tom. I am the apple guy at my job, but have nothing but android and PC’s at home. I am not paying the apple tax on luxury. Money Monday right here. Apple does not know what I want. I only know what I want.
