When you and I recited our wedding vows nearly 12 years ago, we pledged to remain together for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. But if I’m being honest with myself, I have to admit that I’ve started to question if our marriage is working. I’m sorry to say this, but the fact is that you’re just not the man I blindly hoped you would somehow transform into when we got married.

holy fuk!..what a nutcase!how can you keep writing the same garb that really need one paragraph.i wonder if that guy has hit the road or not?
Honestly, I’m not exactly sure of the intent of the article. On one hand it reads like a woman who is disappointed she couldn’t change her husband after they got married, even though she noticed his “shortcomings” before the wedding. It also reads like the author is making fun of women marrying a guy, and thinking they can change him, then realizing women won’t change their husbands. To me it seems the author is slamming women who think they’ll “improve” the guy they marry. The author makes so many allusions to the fact that she knew her husband was not what she’d hope before they married to make me think the latter is the point of the article.
The Onion is not real, but I do think the information in this does a good job of pointing out something that women do, which is trying to find the diamond in the rough and hope he becomes what she wants.
