• Alexis Gavras: Buying in for (at least) two more years – you have earned it with your incredible service to P1s like me. Many thanks to The Professor, Gary, Dino and Art for your hard work delivering so much entertainment, inspiration and wisdom.
• Mike Nuernberg:  Tom – I had already signed up for the P1 about a month ago, however, I am going to extend my membership and kick a little for some beer for you and the boys. During last week’s show, while you and Gary were stuck in traffic, I called from Iraq, however, the time lag between my skype and your set-up didn’t allow for a good conversation between us. A little of my story – 2x divorced. After a 2 yr bloody custody battle, in 1995, I was awarded custody of my daughter when she was 3 and I raised her alone. Much like you and your 2d divorce, I decided after the 2d one that if there was ever another female to come into my life, that she would bring the same thing to the table that I was offering. I was tired of completely footing the bill. In addition to that, I was not going to split my retirement check w/ a woman. Finally (and for me most importantly), unlike my daughter’s mother – I wasn’t going to have the opposite sex coming in and out of my house while my daughter was there. I had some “booty calls” that would come over while my daughter was away visiting her mother, but other than that – it was just her and I. Unlike some of these oxygen thieving bitches – I didn’t want nor need a baby-sitter for my daughter. Fast forward a few years – I’m stationed in Alaska and other than that militant wench (my “opinion”) in Juneau, I believe that I was one of the only ones in Alaska that listened to you. On 11 Sept, 2012 (the 1yr anniversary of 9/11), you had a show that differed from your normal format, in that allowed children to call in and say how they felt about those events. Being a previous caller, Deano allowed my call through and my then 10 y/o daughter on the air. You and her conversed reference her feelings of what had transpired and also referenced the fact that I was also in the army. My daughter was ecstatic about having not only been on the radio, but also having talked to a “star”. On the other hand, I was impressed w/ the extreme professionalism that you exhibited in dealing w/ children, given the normal format of your show. My daughter is now 21. She was awarded a scholastic scholarship from AK, and is currently in college, enrolled in Army ROTC pursuing a career as an Army officer, and is planning on going to med school. Due to the 10 hour time difference I don’t listen to your show live (it comes on at 0100 here) – I elect to just stream everything. However, I will gladly contribute/pay for that stream, so that hopefully your show will continue to stay available. You have provided me w/ immeasurable entertainment from the end of 2001 to approximately sometime in 2003, when you went off of the air in AK and then starting again, from when I found you on the net about a month ago. Congratulations on the 1 yr anniversary, and here’s to many more. Enjoy the beers. Take me out old school w/ “a bong hit” and “no cough” PS – also – upon my return to the US, I will be making all of my Amazon purchases via your website (namely a kegerator), along w/ the ManGrates, and due to the price will most probably be ordering a Black Box this week and have it waiting for when I return home.
