If this is a university, why does their TV commercial show THIS glaring mistake? Is this the kind of educashun you get here?

(Note from Tom: The following comment contains the opinions of one writer and are not verified or verifiable facts.) I used to work for this university as technical support. They will enroll people with out a computer. The students are required to take a how to use the system class. All of the instructions are in English, and they fail it. A large portion of their student base are unable to form complete sentences.
I remember talking to a student who was being charged with plagiarism. How did the instructor know the paper was not the students you ask. The student in question did not even bother to change the title page to her own name. Bought it off a website, and submitted it.

I think this is a commentary on education today, where students know more about social trends than English, Math. or Geography, I personally find that with smart-phone technology their knowledge is a mile wide and a half-inch deep.

Want another example? Sometimes, while waiting for Tom to come on, I’ll throw on Maury and watch the disability lawyer and vocational school ads for a laugh. Even funnier than this U. of P. typo is the local college here in Phoenix that has a former female student endorse the school to the home audience. At the end of the ad she says “I am a graduate” (which she proudly pronounces “grad-u-eight”).

I guess they’re selling the dream to those who can’t enter a real school

That’s exactly what they’re selling. The term “Worthless” comes to mind.
