Some people take being a fucking asshole to a whole new level

1-800-FUCK-YOU final

Take this guy. Our show was on his station in Detroit live at night. Then, the attacks of 9/11 happened. Commercial flights were being escorted by fighter jets back to airports across the country following countless unfounded rumors of potential hijackings and bombings.

We were on an insane travel schedule following the summer of 2001. And when the attacks of 9/11 had happened, every station we were scheduled to visit with a listener party was incredibly sympathetic when we asked if we could move our visits back a month or two. Every station but one, that was.  The station this guy managed in Detroit.

Imagine my shock when I just received a request to connect on LinkedIn from ShitForBrains, who apparently thinks I forgot about what he did to us. I didn’t.

Here is how I just responded to him:

Are my eyes deceiving me or am I being asked to be a connection on LinkedIn with a guy who flew into a rage when we refused to travel to Detroit right after 9/11? The guy who tried to make trouble for us by complaining to everyone up the chain of command at CBS and Westwood One? The guy who buried our show at 3 AM without even a heads-up, forcing us to find out from a caller about you playing promos for the following Monday for our replacements during a Friday remote broadcast we did for you at some shitty strip club in Windsor, Ontario? You have GOT to be fucking kidding me.

You turned out to be a TRUE piece of shit. Just stay away at all costs, asshole. Make sure I am off every list that you have.

He probably just lost his job and needs to expand his network in search of a new gig. If he did what he did without warning you, then he deserves it.

Darn, well that’s a shame Steve is unemployed. Hahaha! Take this fool out Jayden style!

I always wondered what that was all about. It didn’t make sense to change your time slot after the packed shows at the State Theatre and Gameworks.

    Good for you, sir.

I was one of your outraged Detroit listeners at the time. I remember how the afternoon hosts would make snide comments about your show, and that your strip club appearance received no promotion. I think one of the afternoon hosts was a real pussy and afraid to praise you in fear of having to answer to his wife. (They have since left town.) It puzzled me how a station would allow one of its shows to treat another one of its shows the way they treated you. Your post explains that, as usual, it was likely the result of a manager with an inflated ego and false sense of importance. I’m glad to see you continuing to achieve success. Blow me up!
