This is a conundrum for many local governments. It’s said that laws that inconvenience rich people don’t stick around, well… in this case, no matter which way they rule, it inconveniences rich people, so they went with inconveniencing the millionaires in order to avoid inconveniencing the billionaire oil barons. -.- Would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
Right. The republicans want small government like the democrats want to help the poor (they don’t). We’re past the point where we even need services delivered by the government. The private sector always does it better (unless they get into bed with government, i.e. banks).
