Who Made Your Stupid Choices But YOU?

Your Professor is so fucking tired of reading about whiny broads like this one:

I think this onset of lethargy is due to my trying to be the man of the house and the housewife all in one; trying to maintain my finances as if I were an accountant; and attempting to keep up with friends as if I were a social director. All this while running the errands, shopping for food, cleaning the house, taking care of home and car repairs, going to work, indulging in the daily blogging hobby, and auditioning for the occasional side acting jobs which I need to put bread on my plate since sales are next to nil in my current 9-to-5. ”

Wah wah wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

In order to completely understand what I am about to say, please read this blog which appeared on the website of the Houston Chronicle.

Too bad, lady. You are the one who chose this lifestyle. You are the one who thought you could “have it all.” You know what? We all have to maintain our finances and keep up with our friends, run errands, shop for food, clean the house, take care of home and car repairs (or hire out if we didn’t saddle ourselves with dependents we can’t afford as you apparently did), go to work, etc. And now you write a blog hoping someone out there will feel sorry for you? Let me tell you something. We don’t.

No one gives a shit that you now appear to be helpless and hopeless and in your forties and you have to do it all by yourself. Man up, sister. This is what you signed up for.

Somehow I get immense pleasure out of reading your obvious cry out to the universe on the internet. You are now finding out that all those articles you read about being a “Supermom” and “having it all” were just so much bullshit. You thought you could do it without a man, and you clearly can’t. You are, in a word, fucked. In one Professor’s opinion, the life you envisioned is a failure, and the sooner you realize it, the better.

Let’s extrapolate a little more. Now that you have passed your expiration date, why would any man with a brain in his head even want someone like you? You are tired, you have no time for a man anyway, you have dependents and you appear to have over 100,000 miles on the odometer. I can just see an online dating profile for a woman like you: “I have had my fun and now that I am settled down and have no energy or life left in me, I need someone to care for me! Someone who can make me a better person. Someone who likes to travel to foreign countries to which I’ll never be able to afford to go otherwise. I need someone who understands that I will never have time for them except squeezed in between the many responsibilities I have stupidly taken on. Someone who will take some of these responsibilities off my hands now and then. Speaking of which, can you pick my daughter up at field hockey practice now and then? Say five times a week? Then, after that, hear me refuse to have sex with you because I am ‘too tired?’ If you are this kind of man, then I am your gal!”

The rest of your life is probably going to be nothing more than chores and obligations and waiting for The Grim Reaper. Couldn’t you see this when you took a left turn onto Stupid Boulevard? Just one Professor’s opinion. And wait until your kids have kids and want Grandma to be the built-in babysitter. What a life! Why would any man want to get in the middle of that?

There is nothing Your Professor loves more than seeing women he thinks are shopworn old hags complaining about the lives that they themselves chose! Might as well dig the ditch now, sweetie!

Sure, because women have to choose between having a job or kids while men don’t and you don’t want that to change. For you it is perfect that you get to have it all without effort. I understand why you you don’t want a change in the status quo.
